Price of Admission Bulletin and Application Form
|
|
|
The candidates can purchase the Admission Bulletin and Application Forms from any
of the mentioned below nodal centres on payment of Rs. 550/- in cash.
|
|
|
No request for sending the Admission Bulletin and Application Form through post
or courier will be entertained.
|
|
2.
|
Centres for submission of Application Forms
|
|
|
Candidates can submit the duly completed Application Forms at the following nodal
centres. All the details regarding the candidate and the examination such as name,
seat number, examination centre, category, result, and other related information
will be displayed at these centres from time to time. Candidates can also approach
at these centres for any information or clarification or contact nodal officer at
the centres.
|
|
3.

Submission of Application Forms
|
|
|
- The candidates are required to submit their application forms in person, complete
in all respects, at any of the centres mentioned above latest by 5.00 p.m. on 28th
May 2005.
Application forms received through post or courier will not be entertained.
The completed application form should be submitted at the centre where the candidate
desires to appear for the entrance test.
- The candidates will be issued the Admit Cards for the Test and Counselling at the
time of acceptance of the application form, after entering the seat number therein.
The candidates should ensure that they have collected the admit cards before leaving
the counter after submission of the application forms.

Candidate data
|
|
|
The details of the applicants, including their seat numbers, test centre,venue,
category, etc., will be displayed on 17th June 2006 on the Gujarat University website
(www.gujaratuniversity.org.in)
and at the respective University test centres which the applicants have chosen to
appear for the entrance test. Candidates should verify the correctness of their
details displayed and discrepancy, if any, should be brought to the notice of the
respective University centre for rectification between he 10th June and 21st June
2006

Entrance Test
|
|
|
The entrance test for MCA will be conducted between 12:00 noon and 3::0O P.M. at
notified centres/venues on the 19th th June 20 2006.
|
|
6.
|
Merit Lists and Counselling Schedule
|
|
|
The merit lists of candidates and the schedule for counselling will be displayed
on the Gujarat University website ( www.gujaratuniversity.org.in) on 30th June 2005.
The schedule for counselling will also be published through newspapers. The information
will be available from the University centres also.

|
|
|
Communication with the candidates
|
No personal communication will be made in regard to the entrance test, counselling
and related activities. All the required information will be published in the Gujarat
University website www.gujaratuniversity.org.in from time to time. Candidates can
also approach the GCET Cell, Gujarat University on helpline No.079-9-55 55120 20
20808.
All the relevant information will also be available from the seven centres where
entrance test will be conducted. The counselling schedule will also be published
in newspapers.

Documents to be produced for counselling and allotment of seats
|
|
The candidates or their authorised representatives should bring the following documents
in original along with their attested photocopies:
|
|
1.
|
Mark sheets of SSC (10th Standard), HSC (12th standard) or equivalent examination.
|
|
2.
|
Final Year Mark Sheet of graduation examination with aggregate 50% marks in the
final year.
|
|
3.
|
The candidates who have applied against PH quota should bring a certificate issued
by a Civil Surgeon, or a Resident Medical Officer in the absence of Civil Surgeon,
in the prescribed proforma.
|
|
4.
|
The candidates who have applied against IN & EX service defence quota should
produce a certificate from the District Sainik Welfare Officer in the case of EX
service Defence Personnel and a certificate issued by an officer not below the rank
of Commanding Officer in case of IN Service Defence Personnel.
|
|
5.
|
The candidates claiming reserved seats shall have to produce a certificate issued
by a competent authority in support of their claim of belonging to a certain caste/tribe.
|
|
6.
|
The SEBC candidates shall have to produce, along with a caste certificate, a certificate
showing not included in Creamy Layer in favour of the family of the candidate issued
by a competent authority on or after 1st April 2005. This should be in the prescribed
form “Parishist - ka” (“Ãkrhrþü - f”) only and not Appendix ‘A’.

The SC, ST and SEBC (including Widow and Orphan) candidates must bring original
certificates obtained from competent authorities of Gujarat State
|
|
8.
|
All the candidates are required to ensure that they fulfil the necessary eligibility
criteria mentioned in the GCET Bulletin 2005.
|
|
9.
|
Every candidate who is allotted a seat in an institute will have to deposit the
required fee in Cash/D.D. immediately after the offered seat is accepted, failing
which the candidate will forfeit the seat and it will be offered to the next person
on the merit list.
|
|
10.
|
The candidates may carry around Rs.5,000 for seats in grant-in-aid institutes (Rs.1,000
by girl students) and around Rs.18,000 for seats in self-financing institutes/self-financing
programmes of Universities. The candidates also have the option to bring DDs in
favour of GCET 2005, Gujarat University payable at Ahmedabad for the amount of fee
payable.
