Academic Contributions

  • Nominated member of the University to approve the facilities at the self financed institutes who seek University Affiliations.

  • Nominated as an expert/member of the selection Committee for selecting teaching staff for Affiliated colleges.

  • Gave lectures at the Teachers Training Program for Computer Education under the CIDA-UGC project in 1990 and 1991.

  • Valued resource person at the University for organizing, conducting & teaching at refresher courses Conducted at Department of Statistics, Mathematics & Computer Science as well as for orientation courses conducted at academic staff college.

  • Worked as Coordinator in Short Term Course on Object Oriented Concepts & Programming conducted by the Department of Computer Science for College teachers held March 1999 aided by U.G.C.

  • Worked as Coordinator in Short Term Course on Internet programming(Web Enabled Application Development using HTML, DHTML and Javascript) conducted by the Department  of Computer Science for College teachers held March 2001 aided by U.G.C.

  • Organized and worked as Coordinator  in the workshop in joint collaboration with IEEE Gujarat Section on Cluster computing in Dec. 2001 for BE & Post Graduate teachers in the area of Computer Science. The course was conducted along with Prof. Wilkinson of University of Carolina, Charlotte USA.

  • Co-coordinated seminar on “C Programming ” organized for the teachers of Technical College L.D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad under Indo-Canada Linkage project. During Sept. 2002.

  • Worked on Minor research project on neural networks ended in Dec. 2002. Aided by U.G.C.

  • Hosted “Rollwala Microsoft Technology Seminar” for all the faculty and students of Engineering and M.C.A Colleges in February 2003.

  • Organized a State level teachers training programme on “ Advance Java- Java Database Programming” under UGC grant in March 2003.

  • Worked as Co-chairman for the symposium organized jointly by IEEE and Department of Computer Science National Level “Student Paper Contest and Technical Symposium” in October 2003.

  • Represented students at Zonal round of “Imagine cup” Microsoft International Competition.

  • Participated in “CIT Conference Cum Exoposition on Communication & Information Technology ” in Jan 2004.

  • Delivered invited talk on “Fuzzy Logic & Fuzzy Control Theory” at National Level Seminar ETA-2004 at Saurashtra University in February 2004.

  • Worked as Convener for the Publication  committee of National Level NTSSPC3CT-04 held in March 2004.

  • Attended 5 days Microsoft teachers training program on “Microsoft .NET-Train the  Trainer Program”.

  • Participated in Academic summit hosted by Microsoft at Bangalore in April 2004.

  • Working as Co-chairman for the student Paper contest committee at ADCOM-2004 International conference to be held in December 2004 jointly by ACS, IEEE Gujarat Section  and CSI.
